SJC International Academic Research & Publishing Forum (IARPF) 2026
Academic conference
About The Event
SJC International Academic Research & Publishing Forum (IARPF) 2026 is a strategic capacity-building platform designed to strengthen research ecosystems within higher education institutions in Uganda and across Africa.
What is it?
IARPF 2026 is a collaborative forum focused on improving how institutions supervise research, access funding, publish responsibly, and enhance the visibility and impact of their scholarly outputs. It addresses systemic gaps that often limit research productivity and credibility, including weak mentorship structures, limited grant readiness, low awareness of ethical publishing standards, and insufficient institutional research support systems.
Who is it for?
The Forum brings together university leaders, research directors, academic supervisors, grants managers, journal editors, postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and policy stakeholders. It creates a shared space for institutions at different stages of research development to build skills, exchange experiences, and strengthen collaboration.
Why is it important?
Across Africa, institutions are increasingly expected not only to train graduates but also to generate knowledge, influence policy, and demonstrate measurable impact. However, many struggle with translating research into funded projects, credible publications, and institutional visibility. IARPF responds to this need by positioning research as a strategic asset that supports institutional reputation, partnerships, and national development.
When will it happen?
IARPF 2026 will take place in October 2026 as part of ongoing efforts to build sustainable research and publishing systems within the region.
Ultimately, the Forum supports institutions in moving from isolated research activity toward coordinated, ethical, and impact-driven research ecosystems that contribute to academic excellence and societal progress.
Where
The 2026 edition will be hosted in Uganda, with a focus on inclusive participation and strengthening institutional research capacity beyond traditional academic centers.
